Ashley Olsen.

Ashley Olsen looking amazing for Marie Claire, I've yet to read the full interview but I really like the images. I've never seen the huge infatuation people have with the Olsen twins because I don't think their fashion style and editorials are always great, but I have to admit when they do look good, they look really good. For instance, the above images. The stylists and the photographer did a great job.

Edit: my favourite quote; "Mary-Kate and I don't think about fashion as these clean, beautiful objects. We just kind of wear it and live in it"—and make it their own.

Kurt Donald Cobain

I finally got around to watching Last Days by Gus Van Sant, and it is very interesting. I wouldn't say it is a film for everyone because it focuses on voyeurism rather than action and is indirectly based on the personal traumas and tribulations of Kurt Cobain. I added the above images from magazine, Contributing Editor, because I really like how Kurt Cobain casually throws on pieces of worn out garments together and makes his look seem comfortable yet stylish in a less obvious way. Most people would call it the hobo look, which I would agree with because hobos don't put any thought into what they wear and sometimes look good because it clearly doesn't bother them and their happy with their look.

My favourite scene: must watch/listen to. It won't spoil the film; it's not really a film with a definitive plot.

Sea within a Sea

I am absolutely in awe of Arivda's photography, it takes you into another place or world, that's why I love her blog.

I got the idea from blogger, Platinum Evil, the first two images are the originals, her very own fringe necklace that inspired me to make my own. I was planning to use the fringe on a garment and I had big plans, but I got home to realise my plan was bigger than my resources, and rather than foot it back to the place I bought the fringe to buy more, I came across this ingenious idea. It didn't take that long and the results are amazing, I feel I need to make a finger bracelet; I've still got quite a lot of fringe left!

Teardrop

I think nearly every blogger has posted the shoes by Acne (the first two shoe boots), but aren't they a thing of beauty? The first four items are new to Acne; which If I could, I would purchase at the click of a finger. I had to post images of shoes designed by Chloƫ Sevieny for Opening Ceremony. I really like them because their practical, look comfortable and you could wear nearly everything and anything with them. You can purchase the red ones in black.

The last of the summer wine

I hate the feeling that summer is ending but autumn has always been my favourite season. The style idea at the top of this post was created by me; I called it the Stella look, just because the beautiful dress, shoes and bag are from Stella McCartney's s/s 09 line, the sunglasses are Prada and the hat is Malene Birgir. The images below the first look, are four people pulling off the summer look exceptionally well and probably not at half the price of the collective price of my look!

The humming bird

I'm still in awe every time I see this jacket; partly because of the craftmenship, the detail and the colours but more so because it is a DIY piece, done years ago by blogger Flanelli of Brightens up in the evening. Flanelli shares her blog with Ruhvana and together they have a beautiful blog constructed around fashion and art. I really like the photography work they do, it's very inspiring. Both of the bottom images were taken by Ruhvana.
