Weekend!

+
Shoes!!
+
I really like the red jumpsuit the above woman is wearing; partly because of how bold the colour is but also because of the fit.

Passing stranger.

I'm now on the hunt for a nice pair of autumn shoes and a new bag. The above shoes and bag are from Whyred, and the campaign image is by Acne.

My laptop has been playing up a bit which has made blogging difficult.

----

When I wear shoes I either make them blend in with my look like the streetstyle image on the left or make the shoes stand out like the Oak image on the right, subtlety is my look. I don't like the idea of wearing clothes or accessories that seem to all be competing for attention.

If I worked in the fashion industry and I was loaded, I would purchase the above Reed Krakoff shoes and wear them whenever I felt like rocking the rock 'n' roll look...

Edit: I really like the shoes the woman in the streetstyle image is wearing.

Edit II: I did a post about a French Connection long evening dress I wanted for my grad ball, well either lots of people happened to have the same taste as me or I'm just unlucky, the dress has sold out!! :|

Summer shoes!

I need LOTS of new shoes now! Yes I'm the stereotypical shoe loving woman. I actually do the whole buying shoes and rarely wearing them or wearing them a few months after purchasing them...

...the yellow heels can also be purchased in green! I think denim jeans would go well with them for an L.A or European style alfresco lunch.

I'm a fan of suede shoes, I have suede flats and heels, anyway I like these perfect casual pumps from M&S, and I like the soft grey colour of these brogues also from M&S.

Boots.

I need new casual shoes and I know it's nearly spring, but I want them to be boots.

I really like Jessica Alba's boots, and she wears them so femininely you wouldn't think it was possible for any woman to pull them off without looking really masculine, androgynes or dark and mysterious like Patti Smith. There's a student craze where I am, to wear boots with leggings, like the above editorial with the brown background (that's not why I want boots, honestly, you should know me by now). The street style look of blogger, Hanneli, shows how boots can be worn in spring.

The ankle boot.

H&M fall 2010 ad campaign alongside a pair of their fall 2010 chelsea style shoe boots. I first saw the boots by Scorett worn by Caroline from Carolines Mode (click the link to see the boots worn) and I instantly wanted a pair, plus they were in my favourite colour.

Converse are timeless and I like the disheveled look of the street style image taken by Vanessa Jackman. The above two boots, U.O and Novita, are expensive but they are worth every penny particularly as they won't age (style wise). My tip would be to make sure any boots you get are real leather because they last a lot longer since they are stronger, so you get your money's worth.

Sunday's mean only one thing...

I never thought I'd turn into one of those girls' who drools over shoes (on Net-a-porter) but I have, and It's an oddly fun yet painful experience; I just want everything, though I could settle for the below items as the only shoes I could ever own (including the shoes I do have of course)...

The Elizabeth and James shoes on the left would be my casual out to a cafe or art gallery shoes and the Miu Miu shoes on the right would be my casual formal out to impress shoes.

Christian Louboutins' on the left would be my no nonsense formal shoes, and the Miu Miu shoe boots on the right would be my no nonsense kick ass shoes.

...when the sun has drowned in a deathly sea." - White Lies

Anyone else seen these beauties? I want a pair; they are the perfect subtle statement shoes.

Today I experienced one of those days I would rather not relive; but the irony to it is that the emotion filled day brought me closer to somebody I've wanted to be close to for a while now.

Why am I here when you're over there?

The jacket pictured above is from H&M around March! I first thought it was vintage but it's definitely something I've missed out on and when I get time I maybe on the look out for an embellished vintage jacket.

The above dress worn by Stephanie Seymour and the shoes pictured on the right are perfect.

There's too many words left unsaid.

"You are so cool. You are so rock 'n' roll." - The Subways

Mary-Kate Olsen photographed by Carter Smith for US Elle 2008.

When I'm in an anarchist mood I crave shoes like the above leather riding boots which I associate with Patti Smith, partly because they were designed by one of her favourite designers, and also they look like something she would wear. I would live in the Givenchy studded peep-toe boots regardless of what mood I was in; they look similar to the shoes Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen have designed for their own label.

Lounging around on a Sunday

I've kind of got out of doing my work, and my current excuse for procrastinating is the fact I'm ahead of everyone else with my work plus I work really hard during the weekdays to excuse all the habitual lounging around I do on the weekend. : )

The first image is a beautiful image of Miranda Kerr taken by Chris Colls for Style Me Romy, but the heart of this post is on CƩline's summer 2010 shoes that have me craving summer shoes. The first shoe looks like a modern twist on now vintage 70s shoes -I would love to see how they look worn but I don't doubt they'd look anything less than amazing. You can view the rest of CƩline's summer 2010 shoes and bags here; I'm also liking CƩline's summer 2010 clothing collection.

Dirty Diana

Shoes designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for Elizabeth and James.

They are definitely shoes not to be walked in for long periods of time, but imagine that feeling when you look down at your feet to see them on you! Or is that just me? :)

The tides are changing

Chanel has brought back clogs along with the help of No. 6 boots and Swedish Hasbeens. Along the celebrity angle; Agyness Deyn, Michelle Williams and Alexa Chung have been photographed perfectly parading their clog boots. It's only right that Topshop provides the masses the opportunity to help bring back clogs. I'm in love with the Topshop version of the ss10 Chanel clogs, which are incredibly high in my opinion, but it's got to be worth it, right?! The Topshop beauties are bound to sell out once they hit stores; more ss10 items here.

I've got blogging fever, I need to rest now. :)

Followed closely after black goes with everything; never underestimate an amazing pair of black heels.

I've always seen Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince from The Kills, as having an incredible, inherent sense of style. No matter what hideous coloured garment either one is wearing, because most the time they look like they grab the nearest garment to them but they always manage to pull it off with the couldn't careless rock 'n' roll look; something so many artists and people try but failure.

I'd love to dive into Alison Mosshart's wardrobe because she has some pretty cool clothes and shoes. After getting a nice pair of shoe boots from COS, I'm on the look out for something equally cool but more practical for daily use.

Shoes

Wow!

Converse

These are all the pairs of Converse shoes I own. The blue, classic converse, are dirtier than actually pictured because I live in them regardless of the fact that they are not the best shoes for wet weather conditions. It's when I'm away from home at university that I begin to notice my strong dependency on my blue Converse. Hopefully I'll get round to posting images of my lovely Seychelles and Steve Madden platform shoes.

Teardrop

I think nearly every blogger has posted the shoes by Acne (the first two shoe boots), but aren't they a thing of beauty? The first four items are new to Acne; which If I could, I would purchase at the click of a finger. I had to post images of shoes designed by Chloƫ Sevieny for Opening Ceremony. I really like them because their practical, look comfortable and you could wear nearly everything and anything with them. You can purchase the red ones in black.

It's Taken Me Over

Love the shoes, but I'm not sure where they are from!!

Life

I was bidding for the above vintage shoes on ebay, because I'm not kidding I am seriously on the hunt for the perfect pair of black platforms, and when I saw these I thought, holy crap, the perfect pair of platforms have just landed in my hands at a minuscule price. Anyway I placed a bid really, really early to match the asking price of £4.99, but then I was out bid later on during the day and thought, oh I have small competition. In short, I completely forgot about it and went back to my laptop to find it had gone up to £30! Can I just remind you that these were vintage, well technically old shoes because they only dated back to the 80s but I was gobsmacked, but I placed another bid up to £35 and realised I should give up on these because someone else obviously wants them more, and to be honest I'd rather have brand new shows, but I kept a close eye on the bidding and a second before it ended it reached in total to £54.50! I'm gutted their not coming home to me. The seller wrote information 'so Agyness Alexa but I told them they had to bid like everyone else!!' What does that mean?? Was I outbid by Alexa and her conniving  good luck. Damn you bidder 7!!
