Take a walk on the formal side.

source: visual optimism; fashionising.

All the above looks are of Donna Karen's 2012 Pre-Fall collection. The editorial image is from Harper's Bazaar June/July 2012 issue.

The top image on the right reminds me of this street style look taken by Scott Schuman: I like the contrast of femininity and masculinity.

For similar reasons to the top image, the bottom images are amazing. The man's style (because it's formless) oversized coat contrasts brilliantly with the model revealing her legs and her earrings.

You made me forget myself.

All the above looks -and the top image, below, on the right- are from Chloe's 2012 resort collection.

The looks are practical yet fashionable. I can't stand impractical fashionable looks particularly since it means the chances of finding a cheaper replica or substitution on the high street will be near impossible.

The street style looking image at the bottom on the left is of blogger, The Golden Diamonds; her look, which is similar to a look in Chloe's 2012 resort collection, is perfect - it should make you think: 'why do I put so much effort into looking good when it can be that simple?'

The above two runway looks are by Phillip Lim for S/S 2012. I really like the sharp 'V' neck top and it's very thin straps - there's another look in the collection with a similar top but the 'V' is deeper but it still looks great! The second runway look is just brilliant due to the stark colour contrast of the top to the shorts - and it works very well.

Style just happens.

Theyskens Theory is one of my new favourite designers: their designs are casual, boyish yet feminine - it's Parisian chic on the runway.

Most women (including me) only wear high-heels on three occasions: formal events, work and parties; and at most of these events we dress in anything but casual clothing.

Off-topic: I'm back to indulging in Radiohead...sad music should not sound so good! :/

Floating like a feather

There's something fresh, clean and airy about these looks that I like: it could be the very faint colour; and the use of silk to create that very light and delicate look.

Good things come to those who wait.

I like women's looks that mix masculine and feminine styles. When I was in my early teens I really liked androgynous looks but as I age I think women should proudly show off what makes them the better looking sex: we can pull of biker boots (just like men) but can men pull of red heels ?? :)

The two runway looks are from Chloe's 2012 fall collection: I love soft colours.

A spring in her step.

It's sunny but it's cold...

...I think the top two looks are perfect for the current British weather. The bottom two looks, taken from Filippa K's S/S12 collection, are perfect for more sunnier weather i.e. when the weather doesn't threaten to freeze your feet.

The woman that made fashion.

Looks from Yves Saint Laurent's A/W 12 collection accompanied by a beautiful editorial from Vogue Italia.

Do you feel what I feel?

Red: the colour of love.

I may change my blog name...!! Any ideas - drop me a message.

How to be noticed.

Carven's fall collection + street style looks by Streetfsn.

I like seeing people who mix match clothes and items together to create an eye catching, unexplainable but brilliant look.

The two looks on either side of the middle image on the bottom row caught my eye because of the fur.

I can't give up.

I'm still hooked on the previous post about Olivia Palmero.

A must see YouTube video: KONY 2012

Fur + silk = Hot!

The above collection is by Nina Ricci.

Great cover to Chris Brown's song: Labrinth - Beautiful People; and my favourite advert of 2011.

There were no rules.

Pay close attention to detail.

Everything went her way.

- That colour! (Balenciaga AW12).
- Leather has never been so fashionable (Rad by Rad Hourani AW12).

- The trend: the Angelina Jolie leg (a dress with a side split) - in reference to a stunt she pulled at the recent Oscars.
- Spring is always about patterned garments.
- I love the above two women's autumn looks (set in a house) by Christophe Lemaire.

It was never easy - understanding her.

The Olsen twins truly know how to dress for themselves; and they do it so well that you can't help but like everything they wear even when you feel unsure. You can view their fall 2012 collection here.

The first two looks are by zero + maria cornejo. I really like the soft fluorescent green cape (surprisingly!) against the soft grey clothes -I like soft colours.

The bottom, middle look is by Proenza Schouler for Fall 2012. I like the contrast of the white clothing against the heavy, black knee-high boots; and I think the bag feminises (if that's a word) the whole look.

I'm single because I was born that way.

I'm going to be happily single on Valentine's Day!

I'm not one of those women that jump into relationships for the sake of having a boyfriend. I think relationships are emotionally and mentally demanding and therefore never just blissful, so the person who you choose to devote your love and time to should be worthy of every bit of it.

If, like me, you're going to be single on Valentine's Day why not be happy about it rather than feel down. You could: do something that you've been wanting to do for quite a while; buy yourself new underwear that will make you feel like a million dollars/pounds; if you've been on a diet why not indulge in something chocolatey and sweet; buy yourself new nail varnish or make-up; go for a long session in the gym; watch your favourite film with your other single friends; buy yourself new jewellery; or just not care because it's just another (commercial) day in the year.

Something to look forward to.

I'm completely in love with Jason Wu's s/s collection and the beautiful images taken by From Me To You fashion tumblr. The looks celebrate elegance and feminine beauty with their delicate detail and soft statement pieces. I had a peek at Sandro's s/s collection and the above look really stood out for me but can you tell why? I like the back part of course. It turns the what-could-be a plain and dull dress into a dress that states: 'I want to remain refined and yet be elegant'.

This song is beautiful: Lhasa de Sela - Love Came Here.

Some women have...

I do like the finer things in life but I could never take them for granted.

A bag equivalent to the price of a house is ridiculous!

He hasn't got a clue what he's doing to me.

Fashionable men can look like high maintenance depending on your preference on the degrees of fashionable a man can go. My preference is deemed as picky but I just don't like guys who wear nothing but Topman clothes; I don't like most male hipsters; I don't like skinny jeans on guys; I don't like guys who look like they've copied a celebrity (I see a lot of JLS lookalikes); I don't like guys who wear nothing but Jack Wills clothes...I could go on but I sound shallow! :) But, I like difference, originality; someone who will mix things up and not look like he's trying to impress anyone but himself: is that too much to ask for? Basically, most the men I find fashionably attractive tend to be a few years older than me and sometimes a lot older. I like Olivia Palmero's boyfriend's style and Brad Pitt's current style...

All is as thinking makes it so.

I really like the knee-high boots by Wood Wood and I like all the above looks (four images in colour) from their A/W 2012/13 collection.

I also really like the above images of the four men for Port Magazine's A/W 2012/13 issue: they look like writers or poets.
