I got the idea from blogger, Platinum Evil, the first two images are the originals, her very own fringe necklace that inspired me to make my own. I was planning to use the fringe on a garment and I had big plans, but I got home to realise my plan was bigger than my resources, and rather than foot it back to the place I bought the fringe to buy more, I came across this ingenious idea. It didn't take that long and the results are amazing, I feel I need to make a finger bracelet; I've still got quite a lot of fringe left!

The humming bird

I'm still in awe every time I see this jacket; partly because of the craftmenship, the detail and the colours but more so because it is a DIY piece, done years ago by blogger Flanelli of Brightens up in the evening. Flanelli shares her blog with Ruhvana and together they have a beautiful blog constructed around fashion and art. I really like the photography work they do, it's very inspiring. Both of the bottom images were taken by Ruhvana.

Como Te Llama?

I keep losing my camera! I finally found it in all my unpacked bags from uni. The above images are of a former long ankle length skirt I bought and converted into a skirt. The only problem with the skirt is that it is a bit shorter at the back and it's sheer; so I've never really worn it since last year when I did the DIY.

Threaded Tresure

It's the metal mixed with fabric fringe effect! The boot shoes look a bit too clean.

For more images of the above line check out the below source.

With Hearts In Mind

The name of this entry is the name of the designers, they are all new items in Bonadrag, one of my favourite online boutiques. I think the inspiration for this line was Jane Birkin without a doubt.

1. handmade lace crop top - $85
Beautiful and elegant but I can't see myself pulling it off, it would be a cool beach wear item.

2. fishtail skirt - $120
The skirt can be worn super high or folded down. I'm not a huge fan of fishtail skirts, they make people look like Morticia from the Adam's Family. However, the above skirt has swayed my view, and I'm in love with the skirt, both models look amazing in it.

3. Bell sleeve handmade mini dress - $130
I'm still skeptical about the sleeves but it is beautiful. I wasn't really sure about the dress when I first saw the black version but I can't stop staring at the rose print one. The jersey fabric makes it look a bit like PJs, but do I love it less? No, it looks comfy! I can see Alexa Chung working this mini dress to perfection, just look at her in a Barbara Hulanicki dress.

Hmmm...

The first DIY is a blogger who loves Luella so much that she copied the Luella dress worn by Alexa Chung and created her own similar verison with a dress that had long sleeves and was long in length. I like to see people attempt designer clothing items.

How amazing is the DIY bag done above by blogger rackkandruin very cool!

The bottom right image is a DIY piece I found on eBay. The ebayer who is selling it for  £12.50, has done a good job and she should be applauded, but somehow it just doesn't match up to the real thing. I probably would have liked her DIY work more if I had never seen Alexander Wang's actual jumper.

Drenched in Thirst

DIY or Lazy option? Lazy option, so where do I get my grubby hands on this shoe improver.

(I don't always talk to myself, only to get a point across, really? Yes!)

Lagerfeld

The first image is of Karl Lagerfeld who was spotted in Nice Airport carrying a Karl Who? bag. Very cool, I like the DIY look about it, the fact he doesn't care it may be tarnishing his hard edge look and more importantly he hasn't opted for some designer, expensive bag! I guess if any celebrity was to be branding a bag like that it would just be hilariously cool, because their always in the media more than royality! If I could afford it, I would so buy that Lagerfeld bag just so I can do what that model is doing! Love him.

Summer on the Westhill

All the images except the last one are from Pixie Market, the last one is from Urban Outfitters. I think I may attempt a DIY construction a fringe type garment after my exams; they must feel more incredible than they look, and I also have a feeling they may take longer to construct perfectly then they look. My sister bought this exact same dress from an established vintage store for £8 or less and I just saw it on Pixie Market for more than $100! I'm currently despising floral dresses, because of the unwanted ambush from high street stores has put me off them, but I was drawn to the drained colours of this acid wash dress.

Street Style

Note to self: add 'create a cage waistcoat' to list of ever growing DIY projects for the holiday.

Modern Eden

The black bag, which you can also get in red, is on sale! The first top is silk, I feel in a DIY mood, I'm just waiting till the school bell rings and I can begin abusing the teachers whilst chanting "schools out for the summer!". All these items can be purchased at the lovely boutique Bona Drag, The above items are some of the items I liked.
