Is it me or does every woman, at least once in her life dream of going to a black tie party?

I really like the image of Noreen Camody with the 60s look, it reminds of the early work of Sam Haskins, who is also the photographer of the Last Shadow Puppets album The Age Of  The Understatement, anyway the first image is my rework of the original photograph of Noreen Camody, who in the candid image of herself looks like a folk musician, that may be because Laura Marling springs to mind.

I constructed the rework simply out of curosity and an inspired idea in my mind from a highly regarded art piece; and I actually like my spontaneous three minute vandalism of a master piece. Though, give it a few days and I'll be questioning why I posted it; I'm sorry it's a bad habit I have.

I love this editorial spread from Lula magazine, issue 6. The photographer is Romeo Mori and the amazing model is Elsa Hosk. I was first drawn to this spread by the first image with the beautiful ribbon in Hosk's hair, and felt obligated to find out where it was from and how the rest of the spread looked like. It also perfectly links on from my previous post about having an infatuation with big hair. In the last image her pose reminds me of Kate Moss.

Gemma Ward

I've recently begun to like Gemma Ward, she brings a level of innocence and vulnerability to her striking images that softens a scene or character she is portraying. In the above images I like; how her face captures her roles perfectly, the airy subtle colours, her big hair and her cat flick eyes.

There is a film entitled The Black Balloon, that she's in and I think the film looks really good and her acting in the trailer is actually watchable.

The perfect simple look to go anywhere in, or you could add acessories or a colourful pair of shoes to add vibrance to the look. I've currently got a strong desire to find the perfect black dress, hence this being one of two posts on the 'perfect black dress'. Doesn't the above woman look like Minnie Mouse? I think it's her shoes. :)

Sunday's are always the day that create toxic thoughts of, "I'm changing as a person next week", your batteries are charged and your in the mood to get your life on track; stop procrastinating about nearly everything, talk to that person you've been so eager to talk to and more importantly, become the well rounded person you've always wanted to be, and then Monday rolls up, and your alarm shatters that perfect euphoria of sleep; and it suddenly dawns on you that there aren't enough hours in the week, or even in the day to become that all rounded, perfect you you've always wanted to be; so you unnervingly shudder off the feeling of déjà vu and instantaneously, almost habitually turn off your alarm, readjust your cocoon style position and smugly sleep right through your 9am lecture on the UK Town and Country Planning Act: the start of a brand new week.

I must state the above anecdote does not relate to me personally, my friends are too inspirational to keep me motivated, and my course is too demanding to afford to procrastinate, though I do enjoy procrastinating on small things -it's fun in the moment, though the long term consequences make it precautionary. Most my Sundays' do feel like that, and I never quite fulfill everything I wanted to do during the week. Sunday is my music, unwind day! :)
