- Devendra Banhart in the above music video.
- James Franco: he is a a brilliant actor, film director, screenwriter, film producer, author (Palo Alto: my must read), and painter.
- Radiohead's new album: The King of Limbs, particularly the video for their first single release from it.
- I'm always craving Kinder Buenos', they're currently my sugary weakness.
- The last film I watched: 2 Days in Paris, Adam Goldberg and Julie Deply are perfect in this.

The first ever leather jacket I bought was a real vintage bikers jacket, so it looked slightly big on me even though it was the right size. I wanted the jacket because of this amazing video and song:

An overwhelmingly beautiful music video and song by Foals; you have to watch it from start to end to get the full effect of how brilliant it is, definitely my favourite new song of 2010 so far. Who says men can't express emotional pain? After my second time watching it I noticed a tear rolls down his face close to the end -by the way I've watched the video more than six times within a few days. I think the lyrics are really interesting and the metaphorical nature of the video makes this a new musical arena for Foals.

I'm now infatuated with Bob Dylan, I watched the film, I'm Not There, a year ago;
so I don't really know why, apart from the fact his music is amazing!
Winter Melodies
Yesterday I went to see In Fields play live. In Fields is my twin sister's anti-folk band; anti-folk? Don't ask. I was looking forward to it all week and then on the actual day I felt really bad that I wasn't in the mood of leaving the comfort of my warm home and my poor excuse of coursework alone. I reluctantly got ready to see them perform, again, already knowing what to expect; from the songs they would play to the way it would be played and sung. From the previous live performances I had seen of the band, they seemed to lack the charisma and energy you would expect from an up and coming artist eager to charm and amaze an audience of 1 or 1000. Now I become bias; I always knew the band were so much better than their live performances to the point it was frustrating to see them do just a good performance; though I did think for having been on the live circuit for such an insignificant amount of time, I equally viewed their good performance as signs of a talented collection of people, because many artists take years, go through many reformations of band members, and many live performances to reach the recognition of a good performance; good variety and style of songs and band presence. Yesterday, I finally saw what I would call their best performance yet; the whole band had so much confidence and energy, particularly as the audience was dominated by friends and family, this reflected in their music; from the small talk with the audience to the loud perfectly played instruments and soulful vocals. I'm very proud of how far they have come, and they clearly now show signs that they're ready for the world regardless of whether it's ready for them.

I've always seen Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince from The Kills, as having an incredible, inherent sense of style. No matter what hideous coloured garment either one is wearing, because most the time they look like they grab the nearest garment to them but they always manage to pull it off with the couldn't careless rock 'n' roll look; something so many artists and people try but failure.
I'd love to dive into Alison Mosshart's wardrobe because she has some pretty cool clothes and shoes. After getting a nice pair of shoe boots from COS, I'm on the look out for something equally cool but more practical for daily use.

I haven't been to any gigs in the past few months, it's heart achingly painful thinking about it. Music makes up nearly every fiber of me but it does have its down sides, for instance when I'm cash strapped and need to see a particular artist or when I have no one to go see them with and it's their last UK tour. There are no decent bands/artists known to me, touring around my area at the moment, so I have to rely on YouTube and iTunes to provide the necessary drugs. I'm currently overly self indulgent in:
Jamie Cullum - High and Dry (Radiohead cover).
Eels - My Beloved Monster (the lyrics are so adorable).
The Dodos - Winter (listening to my iTunes, I had to add this song).
Peggy Sue - Lazarus, Eisenstein (a great band live; formerly known as Peggy Sue and the Pirates).

I Blame Coco
I feel proud to say I knew about Coco Summer's talent before she appeared in Love magazine, I really like her style; it's laid back, loud and sometimes like an anarchist. This song happens to be the only song I relate to her band, and actually really like!
Romantic Snow
I want it to snow this Christmas. I know it's extremely early to be thinking about Christmas, but I was searching for this lovely song by Jaymay called Gray Or Blue, and came across this fan made video; and being an old romantic I thought it was sweet, and then my thoughts drifted on to Christmas. The youtube clip isn't the best of qualities but still admirable; it's from a film entitled Serendipity, which I haven't seen.

I love the above images; there is something about that era. Apparently, many people claim she is the greatest musical muse of the 'rock generation', for instance, many of Eric Clapton's greatest love songs were written about Ms. Boyd, and how he couldn't have her because she was married to his best friend, George Harrison.
