The last of the summer wine

 
 

I hate the feeling that summer is ending but autumn has always been my favourite season. The style idea at the top of this post was created by me; I called it the Stella look, just because the beautiful dress, shoes and bag are from Stella McCartney's s/s 09 line, the sunglasses are Prada and the hat is Malene Birgir. The images below the first look, are four people pulling off the summer look exceptionally well and probably not at half the price of the collective price of my look!

Summer Brezze

 

I can't help but love this rare summer weather England is experiencing, so I had to look for more summer style inspiration from the street. The amazing shredded shorts in the second image are from Urban Outfitters! I love the sleeveless dress in the first image, the woman looks very bohemian. I really like the colours of the clothes of the woman in the fourth image and the way in which she has clearly orchestrated her outfit in a simple and breezy way, and I envy her earphones. The man in the above image looks a tad bit cocky, but I like how is trying to capture his youthful side with his converse which I love the colour of, it perfectly suits his outfit.

Spring/Summer '09

In 1998, Carin Wester graduated from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, she launched her own eponymous label in 2003. In 2004, Carin was awarded “Newcomer of the Year” by Swedish Elle. In this collection, I like the attention to detail, for instance the frilly socks, the lace gloves and the stockings, they all make the outfits feel as though you could imagine someone walking down the streets wearing them. I also like the light floaty garments and the simpleness to the outfits.
